La polisemanticità del segno letterario. Analisi dei connettivi also, dann e nun in Der Prozess di Franz Kafka

Based on the results of a previous analysis aiming to determine the specific meanings generally conveyed by also, dann and nun, this paper examines the use of the same German connectives in the novel Der Prozess by Franz Kafka. The outcome of previous research is summarized in section 1. Section 2 illustrates the semantic model used in both studies. Section 3 focuses on the results of the present analysis by distinguishing the temporal, epistemic, deontic and illocutionary readings of the three connectives. The aim of the study is to determine the specific use of the three connectives in literary language.
