Your Honor is an American drama television series starring Bryan Cranston. It premiered on Showtime on December 6, 2020, and ended on March 19, 2023. The series starts with an accident, where a respected judge’s son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices. In fact, the boy who is killed in the accident is the son of a mob kingpin and Michael Desiato, the judge, is forced to choose between protecting his own son and upholding the law. The criminal boss is of Irish descent; however, his wife, who is the real villain of the show, is Italian. Therefore, it is possible to state that, even if years go by, the negative stereotypes connected to the representation of Italians and Americans of Italian descent continue to be perpetuated.
