Abstract

This essay studies 66 Italian translations of Spanish "relaciones de sucesos", which, published between the 16th and 17th centuries, are recorded in the following databases: Collective Library Catalogue of the National Library Service; Catálogo y Biblioteca Digital de Relaciones de Sucesos; Catálogo Colectivo del Patrimonio Bibliográfico Español. In particular, such analysis makes it possible to partially map the flows of news and information between Spain and Italy, as well as to highlight both the recurrence of authors, editors and translators who specialised in news pamphlets and newsletters, and the relevance of specific historical events and information clusters.
