Starting from the analysis of a contemporary Italian version of two comedies taken from Bartolomé de Torres Naharro's Propalladia, the aim is to highlight and weigh up translation problems and aspects (mimesis of orality, diaphasic, diachronic and diatopic traits, onomastics, borrowings, verbal games, etc.), linked to the special nature of texts characterised by intricate networks of linguistic-literary codes, and by varied cultural relations and modes of expression. And it is intended to propose some translation perspectives and solutions.
