Through this manuscript, our aim is to enter the debate on sustainable mobility. To be more specific, we focus on servitisation, intended as the attention paid by manufacturing companies to enlarging their offering through services. Furthermore, we present and discuss how servitisation can support environmental, economic, and social sustainability. The focus of this chapter, intended as a pilot and exploratory study which is part of a larger research project involving several Italian universities and research centres, is the automotive and heavy and commercial vehicles industries, which are intrinsically linked to the concept of sustainable mobility, and can be considered reference sectors for understanding the relationship between sustainability and servitisation, as both paradigms have long been common elements of these businesses.

Abstract
Through this manuscript, our aim is to enter the debate on sustainable mobility. To be more specific, we focus on servitisation, intended as the attention paid by manufacturing companies to enlarging their offering through services. Furthermore, we present and discuss how servitisation can support environmental, economic, and social sustainability. The focus of this chapter, intended as a pilot and exploratory study which is part of a larger research project involving several Italian universities and research centres, is the automotive and heavy and commercial vehicles industries, which are intrinsically linked to the concept of sustainable mobility, and can be considered reference sectors for understanding the relationship between sustainability and servitisation, as both paradigms have long been common elements of these businesses.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
