The rediscovery of a new fragment of Severus of Antioch’s Contra testamentum Lampetii allows us to get new information about the heresy of the Lampetians (V sec. CE), which was somehow connected with the Messalian heresy. The article discusses the ancient sources regarding Lampetius and his doctrines, and contains a new edition of the fragments of Contra testamentum Lampetii.
