The essay returns to the problem of the sources of the Libro de los exemplos por A.B.C. by Clemente Sánchez, already discussed in a previous article and especially in the critical edition of the work (2005). In particularly, the essay identifies some remote or mediaeval Latin sources, or the direct modelos subyacentes of a dozen of exempla, not identified through the first investigations. The new findings allow a series of small interventions that improve the critical text (some touch-up in punctuation and, by virtue of the ‘sources’, the recognition of correct reading between adiaphoric variants), but also confirms the soundness of the decision to grant, in case of doubt, greater authority to the manuscript 1182 of the Biblioetca Nacional de España.
