The contribution focuses on the concept of academic community, analyzing it from a historical perspective, but also paying attention to the legal implications arising from the recognition of the autonomy granted to it by the Italian Constitution. The three main components of the academic community (university professors and researchers, students and technical and administrative staff) are object of study in their specificity and regarding their connections, trying to give an answer to the question: «to whom does the university belong»?

Abstract

The contribution focuses on the concept of academic community, analyzing it from a historical perspective, but also paying attention to the legal implications arising from the recognition of the autonomy granted to it by the Italian Constitution. The three main components of the academic community (university professors and researchers, students and technical and administrative staff) are object of study in their specificity and regarding their connections, trying to give an answer to the question: «to whom does the university belong»?
