The work analyses and compares the Constitutional Amendent Laws n. 830 and n. 935 relating to the introduction of the direct election of the Prime Minister in the Italian Constitutional order. The essay emphasizes, on one hand, how the DDL 830 proposes to introduce at the National level the solutions implemented in the Local and Regional governments and, on the other hand, focuses on the DDL 935, underlining its assembly-based vision, which can be considered compatible with the structure of the Republican Constitution, built on the centrality of Parliament.
