The notion of impersonal, derived from Simone Weil’s thought, is able to indicate, beyond the bounds of the bare person, a common ground and a familiarity between every living form of creation. It teaches us the difference between strength and domination, the connection between necessity and freedom, the insufficiency of a purely cognitive relationship with the real experience, the distinction between generativity and productivity. In the body we find the resource of a symbolic bond between living beings.

Abstract

The notion of impersonal, derived from Simone Weil’s thought, is able to indicate, beyond the bounds of the bare person, a common ground and a familiarity between every living form of creation. It teaches us the difference between strength and domination, the connection between necessity and freedom, the insufficiency of a purely cognitive relationship with the real experience, the distinction between generativity and productivity. In the body we find the resource of a symbolic bond between living beings.
