G.O. Vinokur, Cultura della lingua. Linguistica e stilistica. La stilistica pratica come problema

Si traduce il primo paragrafo del primo capitolo del volume inedito in Italia Kul’tura Jazyka (1924/1929) del linguista e teorico della letteratura russo Grigorij O.Vinokur. Dopo una rassegna dei principali episodi della lingusitica del XIX secolo – da Boas a Schleicher a neogrammatici – Vinokur esamina analiticamente il contributo di Ferdinand De Saussure rilevandone gli aspetti teoreticamente fondamentali ma anche i punti critici. In particolare propone un ripensamento delle nozioni di diacronia e di parole per configurare una storia della lingua intesa come stilistica storica, dove stile è inteso in senso eminentemente sociale. Si affrontano poi questioni pratiche relative alla stilistica, come per esempio i forti cambiamenti subiti dalla toponomastica dopo la Rivoluzione d’Ottobre dove le direttive politiche devono di necessità confrontarsi con l’uso linguistico vivo popolare invalso. / We translate the first paragraph of the first chapter of Kul'tura Yazyka (1924/1929) (first italian translation and publication) written by the russian linguist and literary theoretician Grigory O.Vinokur. After a review of the main episodes of the nineteenth century linguistics - from Boas through Schleicher, to the neogrammaticians - Vinokur analytically examines Ferdinand De Saussure’s contribution, detecting some theoretical fundamental aspects but also the critical points. In particular, Vinokur proposes a rethinking of the concepts of diachrony and “parole” in order to configure a history of language as a historical stylistics, where style is understood in an eminently social sense. Vinokur then faces some practical issues related to stylistics, such as the strong changes suffered by the toponymy after the October Revolution, where political directives must necessarily deal with the popular living linguistic usage. / Переведен первый параграф первой главы из неизданной в Италии книги "Культура языка" (1924/1929) русского лингвиста и теоретика литературы Григория О. Винокура. После обзора главных моментов лингвистики XIX века - от Боаса до Шлейхера и младо-грамматиков - Винокур аналитически исследует вклад Фердинанда де Соссюра, выявляя как теоретически обоснованные аспекты, так и более критические точки. В особенности он предлагает переосмысление понятий диахрония и “парол” ради образования истории языка задуманной как исторической стилистики, где стиль представлен в преимущественно социальном значении. Далее представлены практические вопросы стилистики, как, к примеру, сильные изменения в послереволюционной топономастике, когда политическим директивам пришлось считаться с народным языковом обиходом.
