The paper illustrates how to treat the ordinal regression model when the covariate is functional in nature. In particular nonparametric approaches are presented. To improve the quality of the estimate and overcome the lack of interpretability, a weighted semi-norm is introduced. The performances of the methods are compared on a real dataset with semi-parametric and logistic models.
