Weighted Pseudo-Metrics for Finite-Sample Improvement in Functional Nonparametric Regression

In functional nonparametric regression, the choice of a pseudo-metric plays a pivotal role as it influences the type of models under consideration. This work introduces the notion of a weighted pseudo-metric and provides a discussion of its construction.The effects and the performances of the choices of pseudo-metric used are compared in an application to real data.
